 Events, Happenings and Other Cool Stuff

In addition to panels, Worldcon also hosts a number of events such as the Hugo Awards, the Masquerade, filking, autographings, readings, the opening and closing ceremonies, and special events such as the SFWA Musketeer fencing demonstration (in full Musketeer regalia, no less).

Events

The Opening Ceremonies will take place on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 PM.

The Hugo Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday evening, September 1st, 2002, at 8:00 PM in the San Jose Civic Auditorium.

The ConJosé Masquerade will take place on Saturday evening, August 31, in the San José Civic Auditorium.

There will be many and varied readings throughout the con, including two of Melanie's.

The SFWA Musketeer fencing demo will take place on Saturday morning -- more on location once I know where it's going to happen.

The Closing Ceremonies will take place on Monday afternoon at 4:00 PM.
