FutureClassics sweep
FOUR BUBBAS OF THE APOCALYPSE!
In an event that publisher Selina Rosen called "phenomenal," Melanie,
Jeff, Robert and Gloria all sold stories to Yard
Dog Press for the upcoming FOUR BUBBAS OF THE APOCALYPSE
anthology. Rosen explained, "I think it sort of shows the
strength of your group; over a hundred submissions came in and
there are only twenty-three manuscripts on the (acceptance) pile.
For four of them to come from the same writing group is phenomenal."
Melanie and Gloria are new to Yard Dod Press, Jeff having established
his YDP presence with the novella "The Garden in Bloom" and
the story "Old Lady Ironshoes" in MORE STORIES THAT
WON'T MAKE YOUR PARENTS HURL. This is Robert's first print sale.

Jeff scores in Utah,
Hollywood
Jeff has been an extremely busy camper these days. Not only
did the new father sell "Where the Centaurs Roam" to
the INTRACITIES antho, then take 1st and 2nd places in the pro
division of the CONduit 2003 Short Story competition, and 1st
place in the CONduit 2003 screenplay competition, but it appears
that his diligence in scriptwriting has paid off -- he's just
received a work-for-hire contract from Vandy Productions.

Melanie just received notice that her story "Female of
the Species" will be appearing in the April issue of Quantum
Muse. She's still bouncing around giddily in delight.
And Elizabeth sold a poem to Star*Line,
