Cool
weather, and an even cooler dress -- I'm happy.

The
inimitable Jan Stirling (on the right) and friend, posing prettily
for the camera outside the Great Canadian News Co. in the Royal
York's arcade. Gotta love hotels with easy access to sundries.

The
big sign outside the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, advertising
us. The CN tower is about two blocks away -- and yes, I'm going
up there if at all possible.

The
Registration Desk. Decidedly quiet, wouldn't you say?

WebRat
Samantha Ling, aka Ling the Merciless. We both agreed that it's
been a decidedly quiet con so far -- lots of people we usually expect
to see at a Worldcon aren't here this year, which kinda sucks. Then

And
the talented and beautiful Frank Wu, showing off his book of artwork.
He looked at my badge and said, "I know your name!" Turns
out he gets a list of everyone who's bought his artwork, so we had
a nice moment.
When
I started to take this picture, his hair was in a ponytail -- he
stopped me and said, "Wait, I have to have the hair loose and
flopped over the book!"
